Free Photo Shoot?

Like the idea of a free photo shoot? yeah me too! Right now, I am at school so I can't see Facebook. If you scroll down a little and look at my photography page then you will see that there is a photography contest for a free photo shoot! It is called the FS Contest. Here is how you enter it. Enter 3 pictures to my email (Connorholtphotography@gmail.com) these 3 photos must consist of 1. A smile 2. A modeling serious face 3. A modeling pose/with a modeling face.  Also I will need a short Bio on who you are, what you like to to, and just a little bit about you. That way I can know what to expect during the photo shoot and how creative we can be! (The more creative, the better!)

The Magnificant Makell!

Makell, a very attractive young lady from my neighborhood went on a photo shoot with me after lots of convincing and now here we are with pictures! Here is one of the first ones I have up I should have the rest up ASAP! By the way Vanessa's pictures are up on the portraits page! Check em out!

Just one of many comin on soon! I now have 3 jobs! 2 as Life Guards and 1 as a photographer so it is a lot harder to find time to edit... Once I get my Mac Book I will be able to take it to work with me and edit on breaks! :)

I did a photo shoot with Mike on Monday with Murray's Drill team up at the Capital! Then Tuesday I did a photo shoot with my friends Matt and those pictures are up on the portrait page and then of course I did bridals the other day :) They are up on my New Bridal page! Check em out!

Bridals with Nicole

I went out with my great friend Nicole Ekberg  last night on a photo shoot for a Bride. The Bride was stunning and the location was beautiful! We were are the Garden Park Ward. It is BEAUTIFUL! I think I will be returning to this location many times in the future to take more photo shoots there! I will have shots up of the bride in the next couple of days.!

Self Portraits and Anniversary's! :)

I had a party today taken pictures! I took some flowers before church and then after church I did a self portrait and also took pictures of my parents because it was their 32nd anniversary! Mine are in the portrait page and the Anniversary pics are in the couple page :)

Time! Finally. Time!

Finally I have time to actually update! School just got out for the summer! I have taken my 1st Summer shots already and got them posted on Facebook so I decided since the fact that I haven't posted for awhile that I will now.

Trisha: Trisha's photo shoot I'm not gonna lie wasn't the best on MY part. I had the App at 1.8 the whole time without realizing it until after I was looking at them at home. Some of them still turned out good but not many and the editing wasn't the best either.. But I have hers done.

Amy: Amy's photo shoot not gonna lie has been my favorite so far and in my opinion my best! I learned some tricks from my friend Mike and so I used some and the pictures turned out GREAT! You know where to go to see them both! :)

Busy Busy Busy!

Man today has been busy! So all of you know I have my Senior Ball pictures up on my facebook page! I'll try and get them up on here ASAP! Today I am going out on a photo shoot in like 45 minutes so I'll have those pictures up ASAP as well! and one more ASAP is that I will have my Mother's day pictures up! I stopped at Temple Square coming home from a JV Boys Water Polo game! (Which by the way they are going to the finals in an hour and a half so i'll be back up there! That's my boys!) Any way I took some really neat pictures and will have them up here and I'll show ya which one I actually chose to print out and frame for my dear sweet Mother! :) Love ya Mom!

A great loss of work...

I have been editing all the photos from senior ball since monday evening and here I am at school after school and I put my thumb drive into the MAC and then all my work has been corrupted... All I can say is ugh...

Since I am the Sophomore President I had to go up to Senior Ball and since I went I decided I would take pictures! :D Well I'm going to make a new page for "Events" and this will be my 1st event! :D They will be up soon!

Re edits

I am starting to re edit my 1st pictures over again to see the difference with how I first started to edit pictures and now how I edit now! Also I ordered 2 5-in1 reflectors one was $12.00 the other was $40.00 and the $40.00 one came yesterday! So I'm hopin the $12.00 one comes today! :D

Why is there Snow? New shoots?

Man Snow ruins everything! All I want it to do is to be able to have no snow so I can go out and get some good shots I mean snow has some good shots but its also super cold and no one wants to be out in the cold I'd rather be in heat then cold hahaha. Well I'm not really doin any business now so if you would like a shoot done contact me! I'd be willing to help!

Engagements!

I finally have time to start the edits on my engagements that I took on Saturday! Well at least I think in reality I really don't... Tomorrow I gotta a Polo game and I have to dance with our Drill team tomorrow night doin the Jitter Bug and as well as an awesome hip hop dance the guys do! Its gonna be pretty legit! But I will have the pictures up soon! I got all the ones out that they want edited! So you will seem them up super soon!

Zach Downtown

My latest portrait shot is of one of my Best friends Zach! We went Downtown in Salt Lake in actually a kinda scary part of town. But what hobo gonna mess with 3 extremely buff men?! lol Anyways I took a bunch of shots and I will have the last one up soon possibly tomorrow most likely Monday. Today I took the engagement pictures and they were super fun! I will have them up as well with Zach's last picture!

New Shots Comin!

I have a at least 5 shoots upcoming planned! So I am going to be having some new photos up within the month hopefully. Well if all goes well with my leg and that I can walk again. Cause it won't work if i'm on crutches! :/

New Editing Techniques!

So since I'm a gimp right now and on Crutches and can't leave the house I decided I would come edit some photos and see what my results are. My Friend Mike showed me how he likes to edit pictures and so I decided to see if I could compare a little bit (even though there is NO chance of it) and try to edit like him. I actually like this way of editing better. So tell me if you like it or not to see if I should keep changing it or stop more with this kind  of way?

New Portraits!

I have been going crazy with Photo Shoots this week! I will be putting pictures up ASAP I need to finish edits on  my shoot from yesterday then they will be put right on up! :)

Temple Square!

I took some photos last year a little bit after the summer had ended. I took them of the flowers that I saw that were pretty cool. I wanted to take a picture of the Doornob on the Temple that you always see! But I couldn't get in. So I just took a picture of the temple in the refection pool so it turned out pretty well! :) Then the edited one was edited by a friend from Thailand that met my brother the 1st day he got there. His name is Stop Khemthorn! Thanks for making it look Awesome Stop!

Photo Contest!

I am going to enter a Photo Contest here at the school. If it passes then it will go out to the real place which is out in like Herrimon and if it passes there then it goes to State and if I still pass State then it goes to Nationals! :D But I really don't know which picture to enter... I have narrowed it down to 3. Can I get some input on what other people think I should enter? I leaning kinda towards the Piano though.

A Musicians point of View

The Piano was the 1st project I entered on my facebook that was taken with my Canon. I took this picture thinking of the idea while I waited for my friend to come pick me up so we could hang out. I took 1 picture and it turned out super Amazing! I really didn't think that it was going to be that cool but it turned out way good!

The Trumpet pictures were taken of my friend Sam's trumpet. I went down to his house one day and took my camera because I new that he had a trumpet! (I would have taken them of my trumpet but I don't have it anymore...) Anyways I took only 4 photos of it and these are #'s 2 and 3 the one that focas's on the sheet music underneith it was teh 2nd picture.The 1st looks really good but had a telephone in the picture so I went in closer. The the 4th picture is more of a strait over the top picture slightly tilted focased on the mouth piece.

The Pathway thrice travelled.

I went out on a Photo Shoot with Pickle a week or 2 ago. In fact thats where I did the portrait of him. I took a picture of this little pathway thinking it looked kinda cool because it is like those pictures you see in the fall of pathways with the red and yellow leaves but this is without leaves (obviously) Because it is still the dead of winter but it looks super cool! :)

Facebook Ideas

I recently became friends with a Swimmer from Alta on facebook. I swim with her and some other kids on Saturdays with our private trainer. One day you could say I was "Facebook Stalking" and looking through her pictures but who doesn't do that? Anyways I was looking through her pictures and saw this picture that she was tagged in of a swing. I really wanted to copy this picture and take one like it that I could call my own! So last Saturday after Regions for Swim that is just what I did! I went over to Riverview Park a couple of blocks down and went strait to the swings and took maybe 20 photos! I am only putting up 2 that look decant though. Tell me what you think about them. :)

Portraits!

I'm starting to want to do portraits! I was just kinda messing around with this on my last photo shoot on the Parkway with my friend. I took some photos of him and this one turned out really well! Esp after I learned how to do some Photo Shop things! :) I used both photo shop and Gimp. They are both really similar but Photo Shop has more things you can use and will help you more with back rounds! I like to use photo shop more. So when I get my new computer after I get some dough from my photo shoots I'm starting here soon. I am going to purchase a new iMac so I can have a great photo editing place! :)

The first pictures!

The 1st picture I'm putting up is here at school. I have had it at school ever since I joined the Photography club. I posted this picture in school Art show. I got alot of compliments on it. :) The 1st is called "Creations of God"

The 2nd is called "Sniff" it is a picture that i took of my grandpa's dog trying to smell me on the other side of the fense. :)

Both of these pictures were taken with my Point and Shoot Nikon Coolpix.
